The Commonwealth Businesswomen’s Network (CBWN) was pioneered by the Charter of the Commonwealth (2013), signed by Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth ll, Head of the Commonwealth on Commonwealth Day 2013 and endorsed by the Commonwealth Heads of Government. CBWN is the only accredited organisation focused on women’s economic empowerment and recognized by 56 governments.
CBWN is a registered Community Interest Company (CIC) in the United Kingdom, funded and powered by women, for women, of the Commonwealth. Operated by the board and supported by an International Advisory Board, CBWN collectively brings together a diverse range of experience and insights to encourage and enable the economic empowerment and leadership potential of women and girls.
Our vision is to eliminate inequalities across the Commonwealth creating an inclusive Commonwealth where every woman and girl has a voice, choice, and independence to create.
At the heart of what we do is harnessing the power and potential of women in business from Commonwealth countries. We are breaking down gender barriers. We are change agents committed to gender equality and systemic change.
